Help into work
Daniel and Kursheed share their stories in our short film
Our latest employment and enterprise film features Bolton residents, Daniel Doyle and Kursheed Khan.
Daniel was out of work for some time. Suffering from extreme anxiety and low self-esteem, he struggled to leave the house for five years let alone look for a job.
Kursheed had finished his degree but couldn’t get past the interview stage to secure his first proper job. Potential employers wanted work experience but how could he get that experience without first getting a job?
Daniel and Kursheed are two of 80 local people we’ve supported through our Way in2work service in the last two years. By giving them work placements, training, one-to-one support and help with confidence building, Daniel and Kursheed are now doing jobs they love.
Could Way in2work help you?
Whether you’ve taken a break from work, fancy a career move or want that first job after finishing college, Way in2work could give you the springboard that you need.
As well as doing an eight-week placement, we’ll give you training in areas such as health and safety and customer service, and you’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in ‘life coaching’ sessions. The service is tailored to each individual, so whatever your background, our team will work with you to overcome the barriers that are preventing you from getting a job.
Our service has an excellent record – around 75% of those who go on to full time employment are taken on by the companies that gave them a work placement. We have strong links with local businesses willing to offer work opportunities across a range of different roles.
