Safety in your home

We’ve a duty to keep you safe and we go above and beyond what’s required by law.

At the end of March 2021:

100%

of homes either had an accredited gas safety check or were within the process where we legally enforce access in line with regulations and best practice (legal action taken in 0.15% of cases). All checks were carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers.

95%

of homes had up to date electrical installation condition certificates and we were taking steps to access the rest.

100%

of communal areas have a Fire Risk Assessment in place that was reviewed.

100%

of solid fuel appliances were serviced at least once a year, with carbon monoxide alarms installed.

93%

of stairlifts, through floor lifts and step lifts were either serviced or inspected within the last 12 months. We were taking steps to gain access and check the rest.

We also ensure that every home has a working smoke alarm on every floor at the start of a tenancy and that they’re tested annually.
