Meeting your housing needs -

Addressing homelessness

We work with organisational partners to make sure those in crisis or at risk of homelessness have a home that is safe, warm and comfortable.

This was especially vital last year as the pandemic shifted the circumstances for many.

256

homes let to people who were previously homeless.

220

people supported to prevent them becoming homeless.

Our Homefinder Team worked with staff from our Technical Services Team (who ensured empty properties were ready for new tenants), as well as local partners including Bolton Council’s Temporary Accommodation Team, Urban Outreach Bolton, Bolton Community Transport and Furniture Services, and Eckersley’s Removals to develop specific support packages for those desperately needing emergency housing during the pandemic.

For this work, we were shortlisted for a UK Housing Award in the 'Homelessness Partnership of the Year' category, alongside Greater Manchester Housing First (GMHF). This is a three-year pilot project that we also support to secure homes for people sleeping rough or at risk of being homeless.
